Pakistan and Germany Commit to Strengthening Trade and Investment Ties

Islamabad: In a significant move to bolster economic relations, Pakistan and Germany have agreed to deepen their bilateral cooperation in trade and investment. This decision came during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze, held in Islamabad today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions centered on enhancing economic collaboration, focusing particularly on sustainable business practices and improving labor standards. Both ministers explored the potential for greater interaction between the business communities of their respective countries.

A key aspect of the talks was the National Compliance Center, an initiative by Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce designed to enhance labor compliance and promote social responsibility within the nation’s business sectors.

This meeting marks a continued effort by both nations to foster a robust partnership that promises mutual economic benefits and reinforces commitments to sustainable development.
