Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Yemen’s Reconciliation at OIC Summit in The Gambia

Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, met with his Yemeni counterpart, Dr. Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani, on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit in Banjul, The Gambia. The officials discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and the ongoing situation in Gaza.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senator Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for national reconciliation and political transition in Yemen and expressed a desire to explore cooperation in sectors like education. The discussion also covered the Gaza situation, with both leaders urging the international community for immediate action to de-escalate tensions and calling on the UN Security Council to consider measures to secure a ceasefire and a lasting solution to the Palestinian issue.
