Karachi, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has advocated for heightened cooperation with Italy in defense production. In a meeting with Italian Ambassador Marilina Armell in Islamabad, Asif stressed the importance of strengthening defense ties and expanding military training exchanges between the two nations.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Defence Minister underscored the significance of Pakistan’s relationship with Italy, expressing a keen interest in bolstering defense collaboration. Asif highlighted the potential benefits of shared military training, noting the extensive experience of the Italian Armed Forces and the Pakistan Armed Forces’ expertise in counter-terrorism operations.
The discussions also covered the prevailing security dynamics along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, underscoring Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and stability.
