PCDMA reiterated to continue efforts to resolve double taxation issue of commercial importers of industrial raw material

Karachi, August 08, 2019 (PPI-OT): PCDMA Chairman Shahid Vaseem has reiterated to continue his efforts to resolve the problems faced by Commercial Importers of Industrial Raw material and try to make minimum level of taxes imposed by Government to make export compatible. He expressed these views during a meeting in branch office Faisalabad. Convener Branch office Ejaz Saleem, Ayub Sabir, Atif Muni, President Faisalabad Dyes and Chemical Merchant Association and large number of members were also present in the meeting.

Shahid Vaseem said, Commercial Importers has already pay taxes in form of advance tax so we try to save their buyers from double Taxation. He demanded to abolish the difference in Taxes between Commercial Importers of Industrial Raw material and Industrial Importers and make transparency in Tax system. “There is no logic of different rate of taxes on same item for Commercial importers and Industrial Importers and make same rate of taxes between them to flourish the business and save the Commercial Importers from Losses” He said.

Convener Branch Office Faisalabad Ejaz Saleem said, basic concept of this meeting is to make awareness of Taxes in Textile Sector in recently announced budget of 2019-20 and impact of double taxation to high officials, so we can make our efforts from the platform of PCDMA. Ex Executive Committee Member Ayub Sabir, Atif Munir and other members also spoke in the meeting and reiterated their support in the leadership of Shahid Vaseem, also hoped that the Chairman will take care the interest of members of PCDMA and solve their problems on priority basis
