PDMA Reports Infrastructure Damage Due to Heavy Rain in North Waziristan

Peshawar: Recent heavy rainfall in North Waziristan has caused significant damage to local infrastructure, with several residences reporting destruction, as detailed in a situation report by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, on July 4, the district of North Waziristan experienced severe weather conditions that resulted in the damage of boundary walls and a residential room. Specific incidents include damage to the boundary wall of Hazer Rehman’s property in Dossall, Assad Khel, and the destruction of one room belonging to Gul Shaidar in Dwo Silly Dir Doni. Additionally, Juma Zar Khan’s boundary wall in Dwo Silly Dir Doni was also reported as damaged.

These incidents highlight the ongoing challenges faced by the residents of North Waziristan during the monsoon season, prompting PDMA to continue monitoring the situation and assess further needs for recovery and rebuilding in the affected areas.
