Peshawar Advisor Calls for Medical Examination for Bushra Bibi Amid Threats

Peshawar, In a charged statement, Dr. Saif, Information Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, voiced grave concerns over the safety of Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, alleging her life is at serious risk. He claimed that she is being slowly poisoned with a toxic chemical, pinpointing significant blame towards prominent political figures Maryam Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif for any potential harm.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Dr. Saif urged the federal and Punjab governments to promptly assemble a medical board, including Dr. Asim from Shaukat Khanum Hospital alongside other eminent doctors, to examine and report on Bushra Bibi’s health to the judiciary. He highlighted previous expressions of concern regarding the safety of Imran Khan and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, stressing that any harm to them while under administration’s custody would place direct accountability on Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.

The advisor also issued a stark warning against the Prime Minister and Maryam Nawaz regarding alleged irregularities with Form 47, cautioning about the law’s eventual response. The statement underscores the charged political climate in Pakistan, signaling deepening divides and escalating tensions within its political landscape.
