PM calls for unified global response to achieve UN SDGs

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for unified global response through international cooperation to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals-2030.

He was virtually participating in the First High-Level Forum on Global Development Initiative (GDI) today, held under the theme of ‘GDI: Echo the Development Agenda and Call for Global Action’.

The Prime Minister said international community must work together to mitigate the threats ensuing from climate change and galvanize new drivers of growth for progress and prosperity. He expressed Pakistan’s keenness to expand cooperation with partner countries in this regard.

Appreciating China’s Global Development Initiative, the Prime Minister extended firm support and cooperation for swift implementation of the GDI projects in Pakistan.

Member of the Politburo of Communist Party of China Wang Yi, State Councillor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang, leading experts and executives from several countries and international organizations attended the Forum.

The Forum was organized by China International Development Cooperation Agency.
