PM Shehbaz pledges to enhance labor welfare, align domestic labor laws with international standards

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to enhance labor welfare and bring domestic labor laws in line with international standards. In his message on International Labor Day, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s focus on occupational safety and the upcoming National Tripartite Labour Conference, aimed at safety and health in the workplace.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to improving the lives of workers by promoting better housing, education, healthcare, and social security benefits. He also honored the sacrifices of workers who have played a crucial role in the struggle for their rights and the economic progress of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister specifically noted the government’s top priority is the enhancement of occupational safety and health across various sectors, and he praised the contributions of workers in fields and factories who work tirelessly to support their families. The inaugural National Tripartite Labour Conference will soon convene with a special focus on these issues.
