PM urges all civilized nations, Int’l institutions to play role in combating Islamophobia

Islamabad, July 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged all peace loving, civilized nations and international institutions to play their role in combating Islamophobia and the despicable practice of spreading religious hatred and hurting sentiments of the Muslim Ummah. In a tweet today, he said the joint session of Parliament today will reflect sentiments of the whole Pakistani nation and will express its unflinching determination for the sanctity of the Holy Quran. The Prime Minister said the session will impress upon the whole world to uphold the reverence of all holy personalities, books and religions including Islam.

He said desecration of the Holy Quran anywhere in the world, including Sweden cannot be tolerated by any Muslim. He stressed that the world must be prevented from being pushed into a hell of insecurity, hatred and anarchy. Shehbaz Sharif added that the same message will be imparted through nationwide protest rallies tomorrow for the sanctity of Holy Quran. He called upon every citizen to participate in the protest.
