President and Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir meets Prime Minister

Islamabad, August 17, 2012 (PPI-OT): Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Ch. Abdul Majeed Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Prime Minister’s House today and discussed with him the current political situation of AJ and K.

The Prime Minister said that development of AJ and K was very important for Pakistan and the government had allocated a substantive amount of funds for this purpose. The Government of Pakistan fully supports the right of self determination of Kashmiri brethren at every forum and desires a solution to the Kashmir problem in accordance with the resolutions of United Nations, said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister reiterated the resolve of the government to continue to extend diplomatic, moral and political support to their Kashmiri brethren.

The President and the Prime Minister of AJ and K thanked the Prime Minister for the support extended by the people and government of Pakistan to the Kashmir cause and the steps taken by his government for the development of Kashmir.

The President and the Prime Minister of AJ and K also apprised the Prime Minister about the on-going development schemes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
