President grieved over demise of Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Muhammad Anwar Shamim

Karachi, January 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Air Chief Marshal (Retd) Muhammad Anwar Shamim, the former Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force and a veteran of 1965 and 1971 wars, who breathed his last at CMH Rawalpindi today, after prolonged illness. He was 81 years of age.

In his condolence message the President paid tributes to his services for the nation and prayed to Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. He also prayed to Allah to give courage to the bereaved family to bear this loss with fortitude.
