President Zardari Advocates for Strengthened Pakistan-Cote d’Ivoire Relations

Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of bolstering economic and cultural connections between Pakistan and Cote d’Ivoire, aiming to leverage mutual benefits from such enhanced ties. This sentiment was expressed during a discussion with Mahmood Akhtar Mahmood, the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Cote d’Ivoire, at their meeting in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari highlighted the considerable potential for increasing the export of Pakistani commodities such as rice, medical and surgical equipment, pharmaceutical products, and sports goods to Cote d’Ivoire. He also stressed the significance of fostering people-to-people contacts, which he believes will serve to solidify the friendship between the two nations.

The meeting underscores Pakistan’s commitment to expanding its diplomatic and trade frontiers, reflecting a broader strategy to enhance its global economic footprint and cultural exchange programs.
