Prime Minister approves Nepal relief assistance package

Islamabad, May 06, 2015 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved a relief and assistance package for the earthquake affected people of Nepal. The package includes 3000 tents, 39,000 Tarpulin Shelters, 1000 blankets, 3000 packs of meals ready to eat, 12 tonnes of medicines, 20 tonnes of rice, 0.5 tonne of lentils and three tonnes of food packs.

The relief package would be dispatched to Nepal through 27 special flights. In addition, UN World Food Program has purchased from Pakistan around 100 tonnes of high energy biscuits for Nepal earthquake affected people which would be delivered on two special planes.
