Prime Minister approves Pakistan’s participation for selection of Auditor of International Telecommunication Union

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has approved the participation of the Department of Auditor General of Pakistan in the bidding for Selection of the External Auditor of the International Telecommunication Union (IPU) for the period 2012 to 2015.

If selected, it would definitely boost Pakistan’s role within the UN System, give confidence to the International Donor Community in the capacities of Pakistan’s National accounting and auditing systems and build the capacities of the department of Auditor General of Pakistan.
