Prime Minister Gilani calls on President

Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House Thursday night.

Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the two discussed progress in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation work in the flood affected areas of Sindh and control of dengue in the country. Overall political and law and order situation in the country also came under discussion.

The Prime Minister also briefed the President on his brief visit to Afghanistan today to condole the death of former Afghan President and Chairman of the High Peace Council professor Burhanuddin Rabbani who was assassinated in Kabul in a suicide attack on Tuesday. The President also hosted dinner for the Prime Minister.
