Housing Minister directs Federal Government Housing Foundation to ensure affordable shelter to government servants

Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Housing and Works Makhdoom Syed Faysal Saleh Hayat directed Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) to facilitate the government servants with affordable accommodation. The Federal Minister issued these instructions while chairing a high level meeting with FGEHF regarding ongoing projects of the department.

The FGEHF Housing Foundation apprised the Federal Minister of their ongoing projects including 14 storey residential building in sector G-13 and the much awaited G-14 sector.

The FGEHF termed the former as a state of the art housing facility at affordable rates for the government employees under the flag of the Prime Minister Housing Scheme for All. The department also discussed the latest position of sector G-14 and G-15/3 for affectees of the sector G-14.

They were of the view that development work will be undertaken in near future, as the consultant for design and detailed supervision of infrastructure development work of the sector have already been finalized.

Moreover, various options were also discussed for the disposal of available commercial land in sector G-13 and G-14.

The Federal Minister appreciated the role of FGEHF and emphasized to adopt a thorough corporate style and professionalism to efficiently streamline their ongoing projects.

The Federal Minster also directed the Housing Foundation to follow PPRA rules, 2004 and other government guidelines while warding various contract and developing the projects.
