Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to the Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Yoshihiko Noda on the birthday of His Imperial Majesty and their national day falling on December 23.
In his message, the Prime Minister said “On the auspicious occasion of the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and their national day, people of Pakistan join me in expressing our heartfelt felicitations to Your Excellency and the people of Japan.
It is a matter of deep satisfaction for us that Pakistan and Japan enjoy close and cordial, relations. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, Japan has always remained at the forefront to assist Pakistan in its economic development. We are also grateful for the generous Japanese assistance for the natural disaster victims in Pakistan.
As you are aware, next year our two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations. In this regard, I urge Your Excellency to visit Pakistan in 2012, as per your schedule’s convenience. The last visit by Prime Minister H.E. Junichiro Koizumi in 2005 had greatly contributed in strengthening Pakistan-Japan relations. I am confident that Your Excellency’s visit will further strengthen our relations in this fast changing world.
I would like also to wish Your Excellency and Your Government every success in all endeavours. We wish Japan and its people continued progress and prosperity.”
