Prime Minister’s Advisor on Aviation calls on Finance Minister

Islamabad, May 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): Mr. Shujaat Azeem, PM’s Advisor on Aviation called on the Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Finance today to discuss the financial situation of PIA. Mr. Shujaat Azeem, briefed the Finance Minister on the reforms being introduced in PIA. He also informed about the progress and performance of the national carrier. He also discussed financial issues being faced by the airline.

The Finance Minister appreciated efforts being made by the Advisor to upgrade PIA and steps being taken to improve its performance. He assured him of Government of Pakistan’s complete support for bringing financial stability to the national airline. The meeting was also attended by, Rana Assad Amin, Advisor to Finance Ministry and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance.
