Punjab Police Constable Martyred in Line of Duty in Rahim Yar Khan

Rahim Yar Khan, Constable Muhammad Ishaq of the Punjab Police was martyred after succumbing to injuries sustained in a shootout with dacoits in the Sheedani area of Rahim Yar Khan. This incident also claimed the lives of Constables Shafiq Ahmed and Zeeshan Khurram earlier.

According to Punjab Police, Constable Ishaq was critically injured during an encounter with criminals and later died from his injuries. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute to Constable Ishaq, recognizing his bravery and ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Dr. Anwar emphasized that Ishaq’s courageous actions in confronting the criminals exemplified the valor expected of Punjab Police officers.

Dr. Anwar has directed the District Police Officer (DPO) of Rahim Yar Khan to maintain close liaison with the bereaved family, ensuring that the department upholds its responsibility towards the welfare of the families of martyred officers. He also stated that the Punjab Police is a guardian force for over 1,600 martyrs like Constable Ishaq and remains committed to supporting the families of all fallen officers, ensuring they are not left alone at any point in their lives.
