Punjab Police Rahim Yar Khan Neutralizes Notorious Criminal in Shootout

Lahore, In a dramatic confrontation, Punjab Police in Rahim Yar Khan district successfully neutralized a dangerous criminal following a shootout. The operation also resulted in serious injuries to three of his accomplices.

According to Punjab Police, the incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Bhong police station. The police engaged the criminals after they attempted to escape post a crime spree, which included injuring a security guard and attempting to kidnap a local contractor. The deceased criminal, identified as Manzoor Lund, was part of the notorious Lund gang, which has been involved in various criminal activities in the area. His accomplices, Isa Lund, Bashir Lund, and Ghamni Gopang, were seriously injured during the exchange of fire.

The police response was prompted by a tip-off about the criminals’ location near Jeevan More. In the ensuing gunfight, the police were able to rescue the contractor, Haseeb, and recover a Kalashnikov and ammunition from the deceased criminal. The injured were transported to a local hospital, and police teams are conducting further searches in the area to apprehend escaped members of the gang.
