Punjab Public Service Commission Announces Syllabus for Instructor/Lecturer in English Shorthand

Lahore, The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has released the syllabus for the upcoming exam for the position of Instructor/Lecturer (Male) in English Shorthand (BS-17) in the Higher Education Department, under Case No. 24B2023.

According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the exam will be subjective, lasting three hours and carrying a total of 100 marks. The syllabus will be based on Pitman’s Shorthand Rules and will include multiple-choice questions, advanced phraseography, advanced intersection, special contractions, short forms, phrases, writing a passage in English Shorthand, and transcribing a passage into English.

An important note included in the announcement specifies that an English Shorthand expert may be made part of the interview committee to assess the candidates’ capability to give dictation in English Shorthand.
