Quetta Health Minister Advocates for Robust Health Laws to Modernize Provincial Healthcare

Quetta: In a significant policy discussion, Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar emphasized the critical need for developing comprehensive health laws in Balochistan. The minister outlined how such legislation would not only help prevent epidemics but also bring much-needed modernization and effective management to the provincial health system. This declaration came during a meeting with a visiting delegation from Islamabad, which included key figures from the federal health ministry.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting, also attended by Dr. Safi Malik, Advisor (International Health Regulation) from the Ministry of Health of the federal government, and Additional Secretary Muhammad Arif Achakzai, focused on the collaborative efforts between provincial and federal bodies to enhance health governance. Minister Kakar detailed the ongoing initiatives and prospective measures aimed at ensuring the robust implementation of these health laws throughout the province.

The discussions highlighted the shared commitment of both provincial and federal officials to address and resolve the healthcare challenges faced by the people of Balochistan, with an ultimate goal of elevating the quality and accessibility of medical services across the region.
