Richard Olson calls on Qaim Ali Shah

Karachi, December 12, 2012 (PPI-OT): US Ambassador in Pakistan Mr. Richard Olson today called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at CM House.

He was accompanied by US Consul General Karachi Mr. Michael Dodman, Staff Assistant Mr. Tom Niblock and Political officer Ms. Keish Tom , Principal Secretary to CM Muahmmad Siddique Memon was also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Sindh warmly welcomed the US Ambassador and informed him about performance and achievements of 4 ½ years of provincial government. He highlighted programmes of welfare in the fields of health, education, social sectors, economic betterment, women welfare and upliftment, youth development programmes and livestock development.

US Ambassador thanked the Chief Minister Sind for hospitality, and said that the existing relations between Pakistan and America had further been improved and are much better. He said that Hospital complex at Jacobabad has been completed and new health programme initiated at JPMC Karachi. Mr. Richard Olson further added that USA government will provide necessary assistance for flood and rain affected people.

Later, the Chief Minister Sindh presented traditional gifts of Ajrak, Sindhi cap and Khais to US Ambassador. The Chief Minister Sindh also presented shield of CM House to him.
