Roof Collapse in Bajaur Kills Two, Injures Two Amid Heavy Rain

Bajaur: A tragic incident occurred on the morning of July 30, 2024, when heavy rainfall led to the collapse of a roof in Bajaur, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries. The disaster has prompted immediate response efforts, with authorities recovering the bodies and transporting the injured to a local hospital.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the deceased have been identified as Jan Bibi and Ayesha, both members of the Maroof family. The injured, Sawera and Johra Maroof, are currently receiving medical treatment. The PDMA has been actively involved in the rescue operations and is monitoring the situation closely as part of their ongoing response to the adverse weather conditions impacting the region.
