Sanghar Sugar Mills Sets Date for Board Meeting to Review Financial Statements

Karachi: Sanghar Sugar Mills Limited announced a forthcoming Board of Directors meeting scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2024, at the company’s registered office in Karachi, where the condensed interim financial statements for the nine-month period ending June 30, 2024, will be considered for the declaration of any entitlement.

The meeting is critical as it will determine the financial trajectory of the company following its performance over the past nine months. The board will scrutinize various financial metrics and operational outcomes documented in the interim statements to guide their decisions on potential entitlements for shareholders.

Furthermore, Sanghar Sugar Mills has initiated a closed period starting from July 19, 2024, to July 29, 2024. This measure is in compliance with Clause 5.6.4 of the PSX Regulations, which mandates a trading blackout for directors, the CEO, and executives of the company. During this time, these individuals are prohibited from buying or selling company shares, either directly or indirectly.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this regulatory precaution is designed to prevent insider trading and ensure transparency as the board deliberates on the financial outcomes that could influence the company’s stock value.

The Certificate Holders of the Exchange have been informed about the closed period and the upcoming board meeting, emphasizing the importance of governance and regulatory compliance in maintaining fair trading practices.
