Saudi Minister of Culture and Information to visit Pakistan

Islamabad, June 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): Saudi Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al Awad received Mr. Shafqat Jalil, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and head of Pakistani delegation in Jeddah today, says a press release received from Jeddah here today. During the meeting, Mr. Jalil conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Syed Ali Zafar, Pakistan’s Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage and extended an invitation on his behalf to visit Pakistan. Saudi Minister recalled his visit to Pakistan last year and accepted the invitation.

Dr. Awad underlined the need for more media cooperation between the two brotherly countries. Mr. Jalil assured the Saudi Minister of cooperation in the field of media and culture as it would further cement the already good relations between the two countries. Mr. Jalil who is on official visit to Saudi Arabia to represent Pakistan at the Conference of Information Ministers of the Coalition Countries supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen thanked the Saudi Minister for accepting the invitation and hoped that he will soon visit Pakistan. Ambassador of Pakistan, Khan Hasham bin Siddique, and other high ranking Saudi officials were also present at the meeting.
