Security Tightened in Jammu and Kashmir Ahead of Vote Counting

Srinagar, In anticipation of the vote counting scheduled for Tuesday, the Modi-led government has significantly tightened security measures across all districts and towns of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Chief Election Officer Pandurang K. Pole stated that a three-tier security system has been implemented to safeguard the electoral process. This robust security arrangement comprises local police, Central Armed Paramilitary Forces, and stringent entry protocols, including a ban on mobile phones inside the counting halls.

Additional precautions include the closure of schools within the Baramulla Municipal limits for the day to facilitate the security operations. The comprehensive security measures are in place to ensure that the counting proceeds smoothly and without interference.
