Sehrai visits Yasin Malik’s residence in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 03, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has said that illegally detained Kashmiri are being ill-treated in Indian jails in a flagrant violation of international and provisions of jail manual. Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said this during a visit to the residence of incarcerated Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik at Maisuma in Srinagar, today. He was accompanied by senior party leaders Ashraf Laya and Rafiq Shah.

Sehrai met Yasin Malik’s mother and sister and inquired about the well-being of the JKLF Chairman. Sehrai on the occasion said, as per law a detainee cannot be stripped of his legal and fundamental rights and the right to live with human dignity, but the Kashmiri detainees are deprived of all these rights in jails. The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman also visited the residences of Sartaj Ahmed Dar and Parveez Ahmed Reshi languishing in Indian jails.
