Senators Advocate for Unified Counter-Terrorism Approach in Pakistan

Islamabad: In a pivotal Senate debate, members across the political spectrum have urged the creation of a joint counter-terrorism strategy to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan, particularly addressing recent violent incidents in Balochistan. The call emphasizes the need for a national consensus and strategic dialogue involving politicians, intellectuals, and scholars to forge a resilient path forward.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the senators engaged in a comprehensive discussion, highlighting the urgency of setting aside political differences to prioritize national security. They stressed the importance of introspection regarding past policy failures and advocated for negotiations only with groups that uphold the integrity and constitution of Pakistan.
