Karachi, May 21, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Chairman Standing Committee of National Assembly for Commerce Mr. Siraj Muhammad Khan visited FPCCI to meet the President and other office bearers and the members of FPCCI Budget Committee to discuss various aspects of the shadow budget submitted by Mr. Zakaria Usman, President FPCCI to Finance Minister a couple of days before.
Mr. Siraj Muhammad Khan along with other members of Standing Committee of National Assembly for Commerce discussed various issues pertaining to the measures and remedies for the improvement of economy and to plug the loopholes in the system.
Zakaria Usman informed them that the shadow budget prepared by FPCCI with zealous efforts without any vested interests. The main objective of this shadow budget is to provide a system to the government without any break and improving the earnings of the national exchequer.
This would also be a trade and peoples friendly budget with no rebate, no refund and no duty draw back etc. etc. He emphasized on the reduction of GST to 5% which would increase the revenue of the government because everyone will pay dedicatedly and reduce the inflation significantly.
Mr. Siraj Muhammad Khan Chairman, Standing Committee of National Assembly for Commerce said that he has a good team of experts and the shadow budget of FPCCI is under review of this committee. He ensured for full support and cooperation and will extend help to FPCCI for the betterment of national economy.
Besides the members of NA – Standing Committee for Commerce, the said meeting was also attended by Sr. Vice President Shaukat Ahmed and Vice Presidents of Ismail Suttar, Khurram Sayeed, Senior Businessmen Haji Shafiqur Rehman and members of FPCCI Budget Committee.
