Sindh government declares Khairpur district as Metropolitan Corporation

Karachi, October 04, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Government of Sindh, under Section 8 of the Local Government Ordinance 2012, and with the approval of competent authority, has declared and constituted Khairpur District as Metropolitan Corporation comprising the areas of Khairpur District.

According to another notification, the Government of Sindh has with approval of the competent authority, declared 8-Taluka Municipal Administrations of District Khairpur as Town Municipal Administrations and Town Councils.

The TMA’s of Khairpur, Kotdigi, Kingri(Pir Jo Goth), Gambat, Thari Mirwah, Faiz Ganj, Nara and Sobho dero have been declared as Town Municipal Administration and Town Councils.
