South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation’s Finance ministers’ meeting to be held in New Delhi on May 3, 2013

Karachi, April 28, 2013 (PPI-OT): An important meeting of finance ministers of 8 members countries of members of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is schedulked to be held at New Delhi India on May 3, 2013.

The caretaker finance minster of Pakistan will represent the country in the meeting. Beside finance minsters, President SAARC Chamber, Vikram Singh, Vice President Iftakhar Malik , Secretary General Iqbal Tabish and other members of SAARC will also participate in the meeting.

Finance Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Maldive , Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will reach New Delhi on May 2.

Sources said that the finance minsters may examine possibility of having banking channel between members countries to boost trade among them Former President SAARC chamber, Tariq saeed said that this is a good platform to resolve issues.

He expressed hope that the finance ministers have got an excellent chance to discussed establishment of banking channel between members countries Vice President SAARC , Iftikhar Malik expressed hope that they will increase in south Asia in near future.
