State Bank of Pakistan Announces Special Office and Banking Hours for Ramadan

Karachi, The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a special schedule for office and banking hours during the holy month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1445 A.H. This adjustment will apply to the central bank as well as all other banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks across the country.

According to State Bank of Pakistan, the modified office hours from Monday to Thursday will be from 09:00 am to 03:30 pm, including a prayer break from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. On Fridays, the office hours will be from 08:30 am to 1:00 pm without any breaks. Additionally, for public dealings, the banks will operate from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm without interruption, and on Fridays, from 08:30 am to 1:00 pm without break.

This temporary change in operational timings aims to accommodate the observance of Ramadan practices and ensure that banking services remain accessible to the public during this period. It is also specified that after the conclusion of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the banking hours will revert to their standard pre-Ramadan schedule.
