Sui Southern Gas Announces Rescheduled Election of Directors

Karachi, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) has announced a rescheduled date for its Election of Directors, now set for May 4, 2024. This decision follows a granted extension by the Corporate Regulatory Officer at the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), which allows for an additional 60 days to organize the event. The update is a continuation of SSGCL’s earlier communications dated February 27 and March 5, 2024, which mentioned the need for a delay as instructed by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the company’s Major Shareholder. The adjustment in scheduling necessitated an application to the SECP for a ninety-day extension for holding the Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM), which has since been shortened to 60 days following the latest approval.
