Srinagar, A Muslim Naib Tehsildar in the Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been suspended by the local administration for allegedly being absent from duty during the Hindu Amarnath Yatra, escalating tensions regarding administrative practices in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Naib Tehsildar Owais Amir, assigned to the Pahalgam area, was on approved leave during the arrival of Hindu pilgrims, which has been a point of contention. The local authorities under the BJP-led government have criticized his absence, claiming it hindered the smooth execution of the Yatra.
The suspension order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad accuses Amir of leaving his station without permission and undermining the pilgrimage, raising questions about the fairness and timing of the administrative decision.
