Pakistan Affirms Desire for Respectful Relations with U.S., Rejects Foreign Interference

Islamabad, PML-N leader Shaista Pervaiz Malik emphasized that Pakistan seeks a respectful and dignified relationship with the United States, responding firmly to a U.S. House resolution perceived as interfering in Pakistan’s internal affairs. During a news conference with Barrister Aqeel Malik, she reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to sovereignty, following a resolution that Pakistan will not tolerate external intervention in its domestic matters.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shaista Pervaiz Malik declared Pakistan’s stance on non-interference, highlighting its status as a sovereign nation with functioning institutions. Barrister Aqeel Malik criticized the U.S. resolution for omitting issues like the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine. He also noted the absence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf from supporting the National Assembly’s resolution.
