Srinagar, March 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): The health of the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, who is undergoing treatment in New Delhi, is improving. Ayaz Akbar, the spokesman of the forum patronised by the veteran Hurriyet leader, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Syed Ali Gilani underwent a thorough medical check-up at the Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
“Doctors have advised him some important medical investigations. He has also taken some light food,” he said, adding that Dr Sameer Koul conducted his detailed checkup and on his advice some important medical investigations were also conducted. “Although doctors have expressed their satisfaction over the health of Gilani, they advised some precautions,” the spokesman maintained.
Meanwhile, Jamat-i-Islami in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held special prayer meetings for the early recovery of Syed Ali Gilani. According to the JI AJK spokesman, its activists converged at various places in Pakistan and AJK to offer special prayers for good health and recovery of the ailing Hurriyet leader.
