Tariq Sayeed leaves for Philippines to attend meeting of Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Islamabad, July 09, 2012 (PPI-OT): To discuss and finalize the modalities for the 27th the CACCI Conference to be held in March 2013 in Cebu City, Philippines, the Planning Committee Meeting of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) will take place tomorrow under the chair of President Ambassador Benedicto in Cebu City of Philippines.

Mr. Tariq Sayeed, former President of FPCCI and SAARC CCI who is also Vice President of CACCI and important member of the planning committee left for Philippines to attend the meeting being hosted by Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Before leaving for Cebu, Mr. Tariq Sayeed said that The Planning committee will focus on the exact dates and venue of the Conference, theme and topics for the Conference, suggested format and program, possible line-up of speakers, and other related matters to make 27th CACCI Conference a successful event.

The Planning Committee will also review the progress of activities under the CACCI Work Program for 2012.

The 26th CACCI Conference will be held on October 3-5, 2012 in Kathmandu, Nepal. To be hosted by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu Hotel.

The 26th CACCI Conference will focus on the theme “A Vision for Shared Prosperity”. The Conference aims to provide a platform for CACCI members to share their ideas on how they can help their respective countries – and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole in strengthening and spreading the benefits of regional cooperation while playing a substantial, constructive role in global economic leadership.
