Terrorists-Afghan Taliban Nexus ‘Clear as Daylight’: Info Minister

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that the connection between terrorists and the Afghan Taliban regime is now unmistakably evident. In a televised address, he highlighted that Afghanistan provides comprehensive support and facilitation, including training, to these terrorists who aim to attack innocent civilians and security personnel in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar revealed that Afghan citizens have been involved in recent terrorist activities in Islamabad. He criticized the Afghan Taliban regime, describing it as oppressive and accusing it of attempting to undermine the rights of women, minorities, and children. The Minister pointed out that the regime’s new criminal regulation seeks to legalize slavery, violence, and the repression of women, which he condemned as a clear violation of international human rights and basic Islamic principles of equality and dignity.

Tarar also addressed the severe restrictions imposed on women under the Taliban regime, noting that women are prohibited from accessing public parks, gyms, and other recreational activities, as well as education. He emphasized that 80 percent of young Afghan women between the ages of 18 to 29 are not engaged in education. Furthermore, he highlighted that women have been barred from employment and have zero representation in decision-making processes.
