Thousands attend funeral of five martyred youth in IOK

Srinagar, May 22, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in funeral prayers of five youth, martyred by Indian troops during siege and search operation in Kupwara district, yesterday. The funerals of the youth were held at Drugmulla in the district, today.

The martyred youth were laid to rest in a local graveyard amid profound anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. The participants of the funeral rejected the Indian Army’s claim that the youth were martyred during an encounter with troops at Drugmulla. They said that they were killed in custody, and demanded postmortem of the victim youth. Clashes were reported between Indian police and protesters after the burial of the youth.
