Srinagar: A series of unfortunate events unfolded in Kashmir, including the discovery of a young man’s body in Kulgam and a deadly car accident in Kupwara, leading to multiple fatalities and highlighting ongoing safety concerns in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the body of 25-year-old Yasir Hamid Beig was found near the old toll post on the Qazigund-Lower Munda highway. Authorities have since moved the body to a local hospital to complete necessary legal formalities. The circumstances surrounding Beig’s death are still under investigation.
In a separate incident in Kupwara district, three individuals died after their vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge. The victims have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, the driver, Nazeer Ahmad Magary, and Ferooz Ahmad Pala. Efforts to recover the vehicle and further investigate the accident are ongoing.
Furthermore, in Udhampur district, a tragic case of alleged food poisoning at a wedding party resulted in the deaths of two children and sickness among fifteen other guests. The incident has prompted local authorities to review food safety regulations at public gatherings.
