Tragic Road Accident in Chhattisgarh Claims 19 Lives

Chhattisgarh, In a devastating road mishap today in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district, 19 people lost their lives when a pickup truck they were traveling in skidded off the road and overturned.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred near Bhopani village as the victims were returning from plucking tendu leaves. The vehicle, carrying 25 individuals, veered off the road, overturned, and fell into a ditch, resulting in the deaths of fourteen women and one man at the scene. Additionally, eight others sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities noted that the hilly terrain of the area contributed to the accident’s severity. Police have launched an investigation to determine the crash’s underlying causes, as emergency response teams continue to manage the site and assist the injured.
