Islamabad, May 12, 2023 (PPI-OT):A two-day training workshop on capacity building of economic reporters of Islamabad/Rawalpindi organized by Pakistan Information Center, Press Information Department concluded on Friday. In the first session on the second day of the training, well-known journalist Mehtab Haider gave a detailed presentation on the preparation of the budget and the role of the Finance Division and FBR in it and the basic features of the budget, debt and deficit. He told the participants about the technical aspects of making news by organizing data and facts.
In the second session, well-known journalist Afzal Bajwa gave a presentation understanding the analysis of investment market, direct investment, daily trading activities and IPOs. During the workshop, the participants were informed about the importance of news and reporting procedures in the issues of commodities, energy, foreign exchange and price fluctuations due to supply and demand in the market. Commemorative souvenirs were also presented to Mehtab Haider and Afazal Bajwa on this occasion. A large number of journalists from Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in the workshop. It is pertinent to mention here that PIC has so far organized 35 trainings at its seven centers and trained more than 10,000 journalists across Pakistan.
