UN acting as mute spectator over Gaza carnage: Mirwaiz

Srinagar, July 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference and head of Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq condemning the aggression of Israel on innocent Palestinians, has called upon the world to stop Israel from carrying out genocide in Gaza.

Addressing a gathering at Masjid Abu Bakar Siddique (RA) at Nawakdal in Srinagar, he deplored that the UN acting was playing the role of mute spectator over the large-scale human tragedy. He said that innocent Palestinians in this holy month of Ramzan were being subjected to wanton bombing and butchery by Israel.

Meanwhile, the business community in Kashmir has decided to boycott sale and purchase of all Israeli products in protest against the Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza. It appealed people not to consume these goods.

The Chairman of Kashmir Economic Alliance, Muhammad Yaseen Khan in a media interview in Srinagar said that the alliance had already conveyed the decision to all of its constituent members.

“Killing of innocent Muslims and business can’t go hand in hand. We can’t act as mute spectators to the carnage carried out by the brute forces of Israel of our brethren. Therefore, the business community in Kashmir feels it as moral responsibility to curtail all business ties and not to deal with the Israeli products,” Khan said.
