Srinagar, May 31, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, today, visited Tral and met the families of illegally detained youth. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza expressed solidarity with the families of the detainees, Parvaiz Ahmed Butt and Shujat-ul-Islam, in Dadsar area of Tral in Pulwama district.
On the occasion he expressed serious concern over the plight of political prisoners lodged in various jails and demanded their immediate release. “Scores of Kashmiri prisoners continue to languish in various prisons in Kashmir and in India and ironically despite court orders regarding their release, they continue to remain in prisons,” he deplored. He also appealed to the international community and world human rights organizations to take cognizance of the rising gross human rights violations by the Indian troops in the occupied territory.
