Yasin Malik distributes relief among victims of cloudburst

Srinagar, July 25, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed regret and anguish over the plight of victims of recent cloudburst at Kulan Gund, Ganderbal, which killed four people and destroyed about four dozen residential houses. Muhammad Yasin Malik, while distributing relief among the victims of the cloudburst, said: “Providing relief to the affected brothers is our moral and religious duty.”

Yasin Malik, today, along with a delegation comprising Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhammad Yasin Butt, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Bashir Ahmad Rather, Showkat Ahmad Dar and others visited Kulan Ganderbal and met with the bereaved families of those who lost their lives due to cloud burst and also those who lost their residential houses due to the natural calamity.

Praying for the four people who lost their lives due to the cloud burst and expressing solidarity with those who lost their houses and belongings, Yasin Malik said that JKLF would do everything possible for the victims. He said that stopping natural calamity was not in their hands but reaching out to the affected people, providing them necessary relief and trying to uplift them was their religious, national and moral duty. Yasin Malik was told that after the cloud burst, it was only local youth and elders who voluntarily helped the affected people. People said that the authorities had done nothing for them.
