Youm-e-Ashur Commemorated Across the Country with Solemn Processions and Teachings

Karachi: Youm-e-Ashur, marking the tenth of Moharram-ul-Haram, is observed today with nationwide processions and events to honor the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions at Karbala. The day is marked by mourning processions in cities and towns, and speeches by Ulema and Zakireen on the teachings and events related to the tragedy.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, elaborate security measures are in place to ensure safety during the mourning processions. Ulema and Zakireen across the country are using this occasion to impart the lessons of loyalty and sacrifice as exemplified by Hazrat Imam Hussain and his followers, aiming to strengthen community ties and moral values amidst these commemorations.
