Zubair Motiwala appeals to Afghan President for release of Faizullah Khan

Karachi, July 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): A reporter from electronic media of Pakistan, Faizullah Khan, was sentenced to four years in prison on account of allegedly entering Afghanistan without proper travelling documents.

PAJCCI’s Co-President Mr. Zubair Motiwala appealed to kind office of H.E. Hamid Karzai, President Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the release of the journalist who was serving his job and was in the quest for information only.

He added that heavy sentence like such would severely affect the confidence building measures initiated by both the Governments for enhancing cordial relationship between the two neighbouring countries.

Mr. Motiwala also discussed the matter with Khan Jan Alkozai, President PAJCCI to use his kind office in facilitation of Faizullah Khan’s release. He also appreciated timely intervention of Pakistan Government in this context.
