Srinagar, September 15, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people including women marched towards the home of a martyred youth, Mustafa Mir, in Bandipora district, today, amid high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

Mustafa Mir of Dachigam area of the district was killed after being hit by a teargas shell fired by Indian troops on protesters on the day of Eid-ul-Azha.

People from across the Bandipora district marched to the village of the killed youth where religious and Hurriyet leaders addressed them. The speakers called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The residents of Sopore took to the streets against the killing of a youth, Mansoor Ahmad Lone. The protesters said that the youth was killed in custody by Indian Army. Mansoor Lone went missing on Tuesday after clashes between protestors and Indian forces’ personnel and his body was found at a stone quarry, yesterday.

Meanwhile, normal life remained paralyzed for the 69th consecutive day, today, across the Kashmir Valley where heavy deployment of Indian troops and police personnel had been made by the puppet authorities to prevent people from staging demonstrations against civilian killings. Complete shutdown was observed on the call of united resistance leadership comprising the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

The occupation authorities continued to impose curfew in Rajouri district of Jammu region on the second successive day, today. The curfew was enforced yesterday after tension over an assault on some members of the Muslim community by Hindu extremists for slaughtering a camel on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
