Iranian President Commits to Deepening Ties with Pakistan in Education, Energy, and Arts

Islamabad, Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, during his address at Government College University in Lahore, affirmed his commitment to enhancing cooperation between Iran and Pakistan across various sectors, including education, energy, and the arts. The President emphasized the importance of focusing on arts, sciences, and technology to advance national development and international standing.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Raisi outlined the significance of universities as centers of learning and research and called for a comprehensive educational strategy to yield substantial benefits. He highlighted the cultural connections between Iran and Pakistan, noting the special reverence for the poetry of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal in Iran.

The President also reiterated the aligned stances of both countries on the Palestine issue and promised to boost Iran’s cooperation with Pakistan in the energy sector among others. His visit, marked by discussions on various collaborative ventures, also included expressions of gratitude towards Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their hospitality.
